Satpol PP Intensifies Anti-drug Socialization on Panggang Island

The Thousand Islands Satpol PP conducts anti-drug socialization in Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

It is focused on strategic places such as piers, main roads and residential neighborhoods

Thousand Islands Satpol PP Head, Rahmad Efendi Lubis said that it was compliance with the Jakarta Satpol PP Head Instruction number 87/2021 on the implementation of a national strategy for the eradication of the abuse and trafficking of the illicit substance known as P4GN.

"It is focused on strategic places such as piers, main roads and residential neighborhoods," he expressed, Sunday (6/6).

North Jakarta Forms Anti-drug Volunteers

By so, it was expected to prevent the use and circulation of drugs in Thousand Islands, especially on Panggang Island area.

"10 personnel assisted by army/police are involved to smoothen the socialization," he explained.

Panggang Island Urban Village Acting Head, Iskandar added socialization about Covid-19 health protocol was also conducted to the public.

"It aims to remind people for not consuming, storing or distributing drugs. We also want them to be more disciplined in implementing health protocols," he asserted.
